- Dr. Kingsley Lau is an associate professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Florida International University (FIU). He has over 10 years of experience in corrosion research particularly for civil infrastructure. He has worked as research scientist at the Florida Department of Transportation State Materials Office Corrosion Laboratory and has close insight on the materials corrosion durability responsibilities and the research needs of FDOT. He has over 60 publications on corrosion materials durability of civil infrastructure.
research interests
- Dr. Lau has established himself in the field of infrastructure materials durability and his research interests include corrosion of engineering materials and durability of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete. He is author or coauthor of over 15 peer reviewed manuscripts and conference papers in the field of corrosion.
