Dr. Teresa Munecas is a Clinical Assistant Professor & Director of Clinical Education Physical Therapy at the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
She obtained her BS in Biological Sciences and MS in Physical Therapy from Florida International University, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences.
As a researcher, Dr. Muñecas was the principal investigator on a survey determining the barriers as perceived by licensed physical therapists to the prescription of early powered mobility for children 3 years of age and under. The intent of this study is to gain insight into the lack of current use of powered mobility devices for children 3 years of age and under.
She is an actve member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Florida Physical Therapy Association.
