  • Dr. Sharon Simon is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Undergraduate Nursing for the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

    A renown nurse research, Dr. Simon has been published in numerous journals including the Journal of Cultural Diversity, Journal of Healthcare for the Poor and Underserved, Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare, and Journal of Palliative Care.

    Over the course of her career, Dr. Simon has received over $8Million in funding from multiple institutions including Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). She has been Principal Investigator for projects titled Nurse Education Practice, Quality, and Retention and Veteran’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

    As a nurse researcher, she has made significant strides in transitioning military medics to registered nurses, revolutionizing veteran education and service.

    She is an active member of the National League of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, American Nurses Association, and member of the National and Local chapter of Nurses for AIDS Care (ANAC).

    Dr. Simon attended Barry University from 2006 to 2010 where she earned her PhD in Nursing. Dr. Simon attended the University Of Miami from 1984 to 1988, and received a master of science in nursing and bachelor of science in nursing.
