Her research publications include thirty peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Linguistic Inquiry and Natural Language and Linguistic Theory. In her current research, she investigates the attitudes of multilingual university students toward African-American English Vernacular.

She interested in investigating issues of linguistic theory through psycholinguistic methods, and in utilizing under-studied languages in order to contribute to our understanding of language processing and language variation.
