  • Radiographic image estimation of assemblies with parts made from different materials requires extensive information of the material and imaging system characteristics. Artificial neural networks are proposed to represent the relationship between the thickness of parts made of two different materials and the pixel value of the radiographic image. The part thicknesses were estimated at a grid from the STL files of parts and the image was generated by using the neural networks.
