  • Single crystal of Zn3(bpdc)3(4,4′-bpy) ·DMF·2H2O was synthesized under mild conditions and its crystal structure was determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure was solved by direct method and refined by full-matrix least-square method. The crystal is orthorhombic and belongs to space group Pbcn with a = 1.4532(3) nm, b = 2.5037(5) nm, c = 1.8184(4) nm, β = 90°, V = 6.616(2) nm3, Z = 8, Dc = 1.296 g/cm3, M r = 645.58, μ = 1.145 mm-1, F(000) = 2656, R = 0.0705, Rw = 0.2056. The framework is built up from ZnO4 tetrahedra and ZnO6 octahedra, forming a three-dimensional framework.
