abstract

  • This paper analyzed the acid deposition in north-western Venezuela, using a Eulerian mathematical model which is applicable for tropical regions. This model is based on formulation that a minimal amount of data is required while reproducing the main physical and chemical processes in the acid deposition phenomena. A conservation equation, being solved by an explicit finite difference scheme, was applied in five contaminants. The chemical transformations taking place in the atmosphere once the contaminant are emitted has been also studied.
